The Ticked Off Music Fest is partnering with Lyme Warrior to present… Ticked Off Richmond! All of the proceeds will go to Lyme disease research and patient funding. Both organizations are 501(c)3 nonprofit groups dedicated to bringing awareness and support to those who suffer from Lyme and tick-borne diseases.
The live event will take place on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Canal Club located at 1545 East Cary St., Richmond, VA. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME. Tickets can be purchased at the Canal Club’s website here.
Featured music acts will be Brickwall Jackson, an Americana band led by songwriter/guitarist Johnny Hudak, that is bringing Americana rock to new levels. When lead vocalist Suzie “MoJo” Johnson, bassist Chuck Harrell, drummer Rod “Sticks” Hicks and keyboardist Sam Nixon team with band founder and guitarist singer/songwriter Johnny Hudak’s brisk, insistent acoustic and rock-tinged electric numbers, the result is a powerful and innovative blend of uniquely American music.
Also appearing will be Gregg Kirk, lead vocalist of The Zen Engines and founder of the Ticked Off Foundation, Inc., a Lyme patient group dedicated to helping those in crisis. Kirk has played and spoken on behalf of Lyme patients since recovering from the disease himself, and he has appeared at events in Hawaii, Florida, California, Maryland, Maine, and Delaware.
