Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria called Borrelia burgdorferi that is transmitted to humans through an infected tick or other methods.
Current testing for Lyme Disease ranges between 20%-50% accuracy dependent on the testing method. Because of inaccurate testing,
Lyme disease is a clinical diagnosis. If left untreated or treated ineffectively, Lyme disease can become chronic, systemic, neurological, psychiatric, and cardiological.

Lyme disease may spread to any part of the body and affect any body system. Typically, it affects more than one body system.
Symptoms may include:
fatigue
joint pain
muscle pain
sleep issues
cognitive issues
depression
neuropathy
headaches
and many other symptoms
The symptoms of Lyme disease significantly overlap with other serious diseases, such as chronic fatigue, ALS, depression, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.

These “standard” Lyme tests can give false negatives between 50% and 80% of the time, depending on the study.

Co-infections are other types of bacteria and/or infections that have different, but similar traits that are often transmitted in the same tick bite as Lyme Disease.
Common Co-Infections are:
Bartonella
Babesia
Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
and more.

Yes and no. What an infuriating answer right? The truth is we do not know.
Currently the CDC says Lyme Disease can be eradicated with antibiotics but as thousands living with chronic Lyme Disease in the US will tell you, this isn’t true.
So who is right? Research & time will tell. Until then, we want people to get better!
