Under Our Skin 2
Academy Award semifinalist UNDER OUR SKIN brought unprecedented awareness to the shocking story of Lyme disease, an often-chronic condition many doctors claim is “all in your head." Since then, and in response to the pressure the film brought, the CDC upped its estimate of annual cases by ten times, making Lyme disease in the U.S. more prevalent than HIV and breast cancer combined. Screened to millions worldwide, the film has saved lives and livelihoods of both Lyme patients and the physicians treating them. Scientific hypotheses, such as Lyme biofilms, first introduced in UNDER OUR SKIN, are now widely accepted. This highly-anticipated sequel investigates the deepening Lyme disease crisis and follows its casualties and controversies around the world. As the Lyme epidemic explodes globally, medical collusion and conflicts of interest incriminate the very healthcare systems meant to protect us. Despite the obstacles that researchers, physicians and patients continue to face, promising new findings are emerging. And when we revisit the unforgettable characters from UNDER OUR SKIN, we see that they have moved from horror to hope, arriving at better health and reclaiming their lives.

Your Labs are Normal
I hope Your Labs Are Normal can reach an audience of people who have Lyme or any other illness, as well as those in the medical community — I pray that they will take my experience with them. Half of the United States is diagnosed with a chronic illness, but this story is bigger than just chronic illness. It's about our medical system and how it fails so many on a daily basis. Many others are fighting as we speak, trying to figure out what is wrong with them while working, going to school, or raising a family. Some do not even get to the point of diagnosis due to constant misdiagnosis or gaslighting, and others do not seek medical care due to mistrust, racism, prejudice, xenophobia, & classism.

The Quiet Epidemic
A young girl from Brooklyn and a Duke University scientist are diagnosed with a disease said to not exist: Chronic Lyme disease. The Quiet Epidemic follows their search for answers, which lands them in the middle of a vicious medical debate. What begins as a patient story evolves into an investigation into the history of Lyme disease, dating back to its discovery in 1975. A paper trail of suppressed scientific research, and buried documents reveals why ticks—and the diseases they carry—have been allowed to quietly spread around the globe.

Lighting The Path
Has mainstream medicine failed to bring you answers to your pain and symptoms? Most doctors are only offering pills or injections with dangerous side effects and have a limited ability to accurately diagnose the underlying cause of your health challenge.
I was diagnosed as a child with autoimmune disease and spent decades of my life in exhausting pain and suffering that could have been avoided with the right knowledge.
Unfortunately 30+ years later, they are still treating these diseases with the same limited approach and even many of the same drugs! I believe a doctor should do more than represent the pharmaceutical companies. Don't you?
It's time to change what we expect from our physicians and become empowered with the knowledge to heal.
I created this film and series to bring you the solutions that brought me out of a dark and hopeless place to an incredible level of health. -Gabe Golden
