Who is Lyme Warrior nonprofit?

We are a team of Lyme patients fighting for better treatment, testing, & understanding for chronic Lyme Disease. 

When I became sick, it took me years to get a correct diagnosis even after taking Lyme tests that gave me false negatives. After a diagnosis, treatment was disabling. I am still fighting to get my health back and the health of thousands of others.

Our mission is to

  • increase resources & understanding of this complex disease for those fighting and their caregivers

  • create opportunities for awareness & understanding

  • advocate for improved testing and medical understanding of Lyme Disease

    Founder

    From Grad Student, workaholic, and crossfit enthusiast to bed bound from Lyme, Lauren holds a Masters in Analytics and has years of experience in promotion and the legal field.

    She is working to empower those with Lyme Disease and help others to join together to make change while still fighting her personal battle with Lyme Disease.

    Community Engagement & Events

    My name is Sharon and I live in the Texas hill country surrounded by beauty and nature. Both my daughters and myself have Lyme and coinfections and it has changed our lives in so many ways. I was first drawn to Lyme Warrior after my oldest daughter received a Smile Box, after that, I knew I had to be a part of the organization. I wanted to help others like me and my family, and I wanted to be a part of making a difference.

    My nonprofit journey includes roles like Treasurer for The Oglala Lakota Cultural and Economic Revitalization Initiative (OLCERI) and a Regional Board Member for Easter Seals Massachusetts. I have a knack for fundraising and development, helping organizations grow and thrive. With a passion for alternative and herbal remedies for chronic illnesses, I am excited to bring that energy to Lyme Warrior as we work to reach even more people!

    I joined Lyme Warrior on June 20, 2023, bringing years of nonprofit and administrative expertise. My background as an Office Specialist II and Program Specialist has equipped me with skills in program coordination and social media management. I am passionate about fostering support within the Lyme disease community and am eager to leverage my leadership abilities to empower Lyme Warrior's mission.
